Gold shop software: weight, karat and making charges
Gold prices come from the internet or you enter them yourself; invoices are calculated by weight, karat and making charge, with your books in order.
Today’s price, the weight and the making charge — no calculator needed
In a gold shop the price changes every day, and every piece has its own weight, karat and making charge. The Smart Pro gold-shop system takes the gram price for each karat from the source you choose, and the invoice calculates itself: weight times the karat price, plus the making charge.
You choose the price source: manual entry; the Egyptian gold market price (buy and sell for 14, 18, 21, 22 and 24 karat plus the gold pound); or the global price for any country through a GoldAPI key, in your currency, with a local market premium per karat. The global price is the truly live one; the local Egyptian market price updates a few times a day. New prices are then either approved by the manager (“✔ Approve”) or applied automatically as today’s prices — and past invoices never change.
A live price ticker shows the current price with up and down arrows and the time of the last update. If the source stops, the system keeps the last price and flags it, and it rejects illogical numbers. Scrap gold is bought by weight, karat and today’s price, stock is tracked in grams, and general accounting is included: cash drawer, traders, suppliers and statements.

Frequently asked questions
Does it fetch gold prices from the internet?
Yes, from the source you choose: the Egyptian gold market price (buy and sell for 14, 18, 21, 22 and 24 karat plus the gold pound), the global price for any country via a GoldAPI key in your currency with a local premium per karat, or manual entry.
How often do prices update?
The global price updates live; the local Egyptian market price updates a few times a day. The ticker always shows the time of the last update.
Do old invoices change when the price changes?
No. New prices apply only to new invoices, after manager approval or automatically — your choice.
What if the internet drops or the source stops?
The system keeps the last price, flags it as stale, and rejects any illogical number.
Does it include accounting?
Yes. Gold & Jewellery Shops is $270 and includes general accounting.
