Manufacturing & production software: from raw materials to finished goods
Components on every product card, a production invoice that calculates materials and cost, and posting that updates the warehouse automatically.
Know exactly what each unit costs you
Whatever you make — garments, detergents or food products — the key question is: what does each unit cost? In Smart Pro you open the product card from the item catalogue and set its type to “prepared item”, then in the “Components & Cost” tab you add the raw materials that go into one unit and the quantity of each, such as fabric, thread, buttons and packaging. When you save, the system calculates the unit cost from the component prices.
When you start producing, you create a production invoice: choose the product, the quantity, the raw-materials warehouse and the receiving warehouse, then click “Load components” and the materials are added multiplied by the quantity. You can add extra expenses such as electricity and running costs, hourly labour and a waste percentage per material, so the unit cost includes everything. If you produce in stages, there are work orders, production templates and stages, each with its own labour and expenses.
On posting, the system creates an issue invoice for the raw materials from their warehouse and a receipt invoice for the finished goods in the receiving warehouse at cost, so the balance of every material and of the product updates immediately. The manufacturing screens fit a 1366×768 display without scrolling. Manufacturing is an add-on for any system with inventory — sales & accounting, POS, restaurants or pharmacies — so you sell your product in the same software and know your margin.
